About Sam
Sam Polks (born Samuel Polkinghorne, 2006), is a music producer, electronic artist, multi-instrumentalist, and DJ based in London, UK. Originally a classical pianist of 13 years, and a jazz saxophonist of 7 years, music has been a part of Sam’s life for as long as he can remember.
Originally a self-taught producer, Sam has over 5 years of experience writing and producing music. Sam is currently studying Electronic and Produced music at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, due to graduate in 2029.
Growing up in Bristol, Sam became exposed to the underground dance music scene that the city is famous for; which he describes “has a huge influence in the music I create”. Sam’s unique indie-electronic sound blends the UK’s dance music scene with the mainstream bedroom-pop, Hip-Hop and EDM sounds that Sam grew up listening to.
